My photo-editing PC uses Displa圜AL, while the travel laptops get by with just the OEM software. (Note: the Elite software may well be better than my Express's)īut IMO superior, as it enables use of the monitor's hardware controls to adjust the monitor before the profiling. The Displa圜AL software is somewhat more complex to install than the Datacolor I had (I used to have a Spyder4Express) Hi wklee, I would use Displaycal, but from what I have read, it is above my paygrade. One of my USB devices refused to be recognized on USB 3 ports, and an old (and unpowered) USB 2 hub I had made it work OK. Plug in to USB 2 socket if you have one.Īnd if the PC has no USB 2 sockets, like one of my laptops, try plugging in an ultracheap USB 2 hub to the PC and plug the Spyder into that.
Had the problem you describe and it was down to USB 3 driver issues.
I have uninstalled and re-installed a half a dozen times. I don't hardly know the first thing about pc's, can anyone suggest what I might try. I installed it on my Win.7 pc, and it works fine. Also I get an error message.no sensor detected. It loads fine, but I get a message.Please select your sensor from dialog. I have update everything ( latest Datacolor update, USB drivers ). I just bought a used spyder4, I have tried many times to install it on my Dell pc Win.
